TED Talk with Paul Bloom: The origins of Pleasure

This was one of the funniest TED Talks I've seen so far but it was very interesting nonetheless. He talks about many topics on why we as humans prefer some things over others. One example he brings up is with art. Would you buy a piece of art knowing its a forgery? Of course not because we as people like the history of the art being a one-of-a-kind creation by the artist and that is why people will pay an enormous amount of money for these pieces. This also goes with food and why people will believe that because the food is from a certain place or a certain quality it will taste better than other food which is not. Same goes for sex, depending on factors for which you will be attracted to someone and not others. People are "snobs", pretty much. I always enjoy these common sense type topics that sits in your mind but you never think about it until someone mentions it. This is one of those topics.
